The restaurant is beautifully positioned very close to the runway & apron so patrons can admire the planes as they taxi to and from the runway only a stone's throw away from their table. There is seating inside and outside with tables close to the runway. We have a children section whereby children can play on a jungle gym whilst their parents enjoy their experience at Harvard Café. Lunch at the Harvard is a cheerfully rowdy affair with the light aircrafts taking off alongside the restaurant. The Harvard Cafe is a totally unique venue that offers a wide variety of exiting possibilities. We have two branches conveniently situated at the Rand Airport in Germiston and the Grand Central Airport in Midrand. Also available for viewing is pictures of the restaurant provided for you, as the public, to purely provide a slight taste of the never fading atmosphere that is always present at, The Harvard Café. Whether it be casual, formal or just for fun we can assure you that our venues will be just the right place for your event. The outside area at Grand Central under the trees is perfect for any function or book the outside area overlooking the jungle gym. The Texan Room at Rand Airport is a multipurpose function room with its own bar to accomodate 150 people. The outside wooden deck has a beautiful view of the runway. The Texan Room is the pride of Harvard Café Rand Airport and is a multifunctional room which can be used for conferences, parties and formal occasions. Arrival tea, coffee and juice, fruit salad, cereals, yoghurt and rusks. For the full day conference a buffet lunch & afternoon tea/coffee is included and for the half day with lunch just a buffet lunch is included.
